Using IMVU

What is the one thing that you don’t want your kids or loved ones to experience? For me, it would be having anything to do with IMVU. I will admit that I had taken part in this chat site for eleven months. I was even retarded enough to waste the money to pay for the AP package and pay for VIP. What did I get in return for this? My account hacked twice, one awful name change that I could do nothing about, and non-stop harassment from people that I really didn’t know. Even reporting these things to IMVU did nothing. In the end, I cleaned off my account and gave it to someone else. I uninstalled the program and deleted anything on my computer that had to deal with the mess; with the exception of some pictures that I did, however.

IMVU is the biggest chat site that can be used for chatting or, unfortunately, cheating. I have seen this multiple times. I met one person that was meeting multiple guys and having them come and see her. As soon as she found one small thing about them she didn’t like, out the door they went and in came a whole bunch of accusations of things that didn’t happen. I experienced one first hand. I can honestly say the only good thing that I got out of my experience from IMVU is the boyfriend that I have currently.

The only true thing I can say about using this chat site is use it with caution. If you are using the site to role-play like so many do, then stick with that and do not introduce your real life into it. If you are there to meet people just be careful with the information that you hand out. It can and will be used against you in either instance. As for the cyber-bullying, the only thing I can tell you to do is block and ban. It’ll be under the safety option in their profile. It doesn’t help with hackers but it will get the people bugging you to leave you alone.

Be safe and happy chatting.

It is crazy that people get obsessed with online games and go too far. Thanks for the warning. There are a lot of wackos out there. I have had Facebook crazies try to take it too far and message me over and over ~ and they married!!
